Deb Norman Farlow, PhD

Deb has more than a decade of experience in clinical research in a wide range of therapeutic areas in the Pharmaceutical Industry and in Academia. Prior to joining Akili, she spent 8 years at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard leading many large discovery efforts, most notably the White House-mandated Alzheimer’s Disease Sequencing Project (ADSP). Before joining the Broad Institute, Deb spent 5 years at Millennium Pharmaceuticals driving gene discovery efforts within the Bayer-Millennium Drug Discovery Partnership. She received her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology with an emphasis in Genomics at the Rockefeller University where her research focused on neuronal degeneration and its underlying genetic causes. Deb was awarded the E.B. Squibb Prize for Best Undergraduate Thesis in Molecular Biology and her A.B. degree with Honors from Princeton University.
